Road Safety Advisory Services

Mr. Bagga has been serving in the road safety domain for more than thirteen years. During the tenure he has worked with a number of private organizations and the Government. He has rendered advisory services on different road safety projects. He has been associated with Department of Transport and Road Safety, Government of Rajasthan from a long time and he has been successful in achieving the required milestones. His work has acclaimed recognition and has been praised including the Hon'ble Transport Minister, the Chief Secretary and even by the Hon'ble Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety. Being a freelance independent consultant he has been associated with various organizations working for the cause. As part of his advisory services he has helped organizations and institutions for project planning, report writing, training & Capacity building, and other road safety related research work. Various verticles of road safety within which he has provided advisory services have been discussed in the subsequent paragraphs.

  1. Project Planning
  2. Planning and design is very important when it comes to conceptualize a project. What should be the aim and objectives of the project, activities to be undertaken, the timelines, impact assessment and financial planning are some of the important components of project planning. For the purpose of road safety it must be designed by a person who is expert in his domain. Mr. Bagga has planned several such projects. He has also assisted many organizations for preparing project as per the Scheme of Financial Assistance for Administering Road Safety Advocacy and Awards for the Outstanding Work Done in the Field of Road Safety which has been issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). Besides that, he has also contributed for preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for various organizations.

  3. Report Writing
  4. After project planning and execution, the next task that becomes vital for the organizations is to document the developments of the project in a structured format that is acceptable in the industry. As a successful advisor, Mr. Bagga has prepared a number of reports for the Government including Road Safety Assessment Report being submitted to the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety, Road Accident Data Analysis - 2018, Investigation of Black Spots, Legislative Gap Analysis, DPR of Web Portal, and Rajasthan Road Safety Roadmap etc. A snapshot of reports prepared by Mr. Bagga can be checked in Publications section.

  5. Training and Capacity Building
  6. Training and Capacity Building is a regular and ongoing task. There are several regulations which are already in force and many stakeholders and public are not aware of. There are several guidelines that are being published which are required to be studies carefully and propagated further which is easier to understand. Knowledge sharing is another important component on road safety for which Mr. Bagga is contributing for more than a decade. Many a times he get invited by Government bodies, training institutions, corporate & industries, and educational institutions as resource person or speaker to deliver quality training to the beneficiaries.   7. Survey Design & Analysis
  8. Surveys are a method of gathering information from a group of individuals by asking them questions. Surveys can be conducted through various mediums such as paper and pencil, online forms or face-to-face interviews etc. The main goal of a survey is to collect data that is representative of the group being surveyed, allowing researchers to make informed decisions or draw conclusions. To create a successful survey, it is essential to craft questions that are clear, concise, and unbiased, avoiding leading or loaded questions that could influence the answers. From time to time he has drafted surveyes for organizations to collect data for which helps in planning, designing and developing strategy for project planning, implementation and policy formulation.

  9. Awareness Drive Design
  10. Any awareness program or drive should be carefully designed such that it may impact the required target group the most. There are multiple forms of awarness drives which can be executed either physically and virtually based on the available timeline and resources. He has experienced designing wide varities of road safety awareness drives catering to different target groups. Awarenss drives having direct involvement of public has higher impact and has measurable effectiveness.

  11. Content Development
  12. At times many organizations need to publish some education and publicity material such as books, leaflets, banners, booklets, and brochures etc. During his tenure Mr. Bagga has developed plenty of IEC Material for Department of Transport & Road Safety, government of Rajasthan and several other organizations.
